Heat Press Instructions

Follow these steps for applying your DTF transfers with professional results every time.

What You'll Need

  • Heat press or household iron
  • Parchment paper or Teflon sheet
  • Your DTF transfer
  • Clean, pre-washed garment

Application Steps

  1. Preheat: Set heat press to 300-320°F (149-160°C) or iron to highest setting (cotton/linen)
  2. Position: Place transfer face-down on garment in desired location
  3. Cover: Place parchment paper or Teflon sheet over transfer
  4. Press: Apply firm, even pressure for 10-15 seconds
  5. Cool: Allow transfer to cool completely (30-60 seconds)
  6. Peel: Gently peel away transfer film in one smooth motion
  7. Final Press: Cover with parchment paper and press again for 5 seconds

Washing & Care Instructions

Proper care ensures your DTF prints stay vibrant and last longer.

First Wash

  • Wait 24 hours after application before first wash
  • Turn garment inside out

Washing Guidelines

  • Temperature: Wash in cold or warm water (max 86°F/30°C)
  • Cycle: Use gentle or normal cycle
  • Detergent: Use mild detergent without bleach or fabric softener
  • Inside Out: Always wash garments inside out to protect the print

Drying

  • Best: Hang dry or lay flat
  • If using dryer: Low heat, tumble dry, inside out
  • Remove promptly to prevent wrinkles

Ironing

  • Iron inside out only
  • Use low to medium heat
  • Never iron directly on the print
  • Use parchment paper if ironing on print side

What to Avoid

  • ❌ Bleach or harsh chemicals
  • ❌ Fabric softener
  • ❌ Dry cleaning
  • ❌ High heat drying
  • ❌ Ironing directly on print
